Homemade Cream Cheese Icing

,This recipe is so simple and tastes so much better than anything you can buy at the store. Plus, you know exactly what's in it. No preservatives and no ingredients you can't pronounce.



8 oz. cream cheese, softened
4 tbsp. butter (not margarine), softened
2 cups powered sugar (more or less, depending on your taste)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
food coloring (optional)

Mix together on medium speed until well blended. Be sure to refrigerate leftovers and anything you put the icing on, just in case. MuscleGirl8 choose purple since it was for her birthday yesterday. I can't believe she's already 8!!!
